A barmy behavioural targeting add from Waitrose

Our chums at Waitrose are evidently doing their best dissuade me from using their online website for my weekly grocery shopping.

I know that retailers occasionally adopt flexible pricing policies, depending on what they feel the online shopper is likely to be able to pay, but they can go way too far.

Today, for example, I was browsing through the online edition of the Guardian and came across this wonderful opportunity to purchase a can of essential Waitrose cannellini beans for just £67, and a packet of Mini Yorkshire Puddings for only £13

Excuse me. I live in Crouch End. Not Mayfair.

Thank goodness for the free delivery charges on all online orders over £50.
